Los profesores expositores en este webinar son:
DR. TORSTEN PLÖSCH (RUG) – “Early Origins of Disease – The Role of Epigenetics”
Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University Medical Center Groningen
Many adverse environmental factors can influence the developing fetus and the child – they even leave epigenetic footprints lasting until adulthood. Dr Plösch’s studies which molecular factors have long-lasting effects on the child’s health, how they act and if they can be used as biomarkers. This research involves human biomaterials and laboratory models, which are analyzed by state-of-the-art epigenetic technology.
DR. EMILIO HERRERA (UCHILE) – “Vascular Aging Programming by Chronic Hypoxia during Gestation”
Institute of Biomedical Sciences, Faculty of Medicine
Adverse conditions during development may program later life celular, organs and systems function, concept known as “Developmental origins of Health and Disease (DOHaD)”. This talk will explore how intrauterine chronic hypoxia may induce cardiovascular dysfunction and accelerate aging through oxidative stress, inflammation, and epigenetic changes, aiming to contribute to the underlying mechanisms involved in long-term CV health and risks.
Esta es una excelente oportunidad para que estudiantes de doctorado, magíster y pregrado se vinculen con y aprendan de expertos en este campo.
Te esperamos!
