1. Students from universities with exchange agreements with the Faculty of Medicine. 


Your Study Abroad Office will nominate candidate(s) to study at the Faculty of Medicine of Universidad de Chile. Contact your Study Abroad Office for more information. Once nominated, the Office of International Affairs of the Faculty of Medicine of the Universidad de Chile will send you an application.

Application Deadlines
First Semester March - July: October 15th.

Second Semester July - December: April 15th.

2. Students from universities with exchange agreements with the Universidad de Chile (PEM).

All students from universities with general agreements with the Universidad de Chile will be nominated by their university of origin directly to the Student Mobility Program (PME), Central Office at Universidad de Chile.

3. Students from universities with no exchange agreements with the Faculty of Medicine of Universidad de Chile - Free

The Faculty of Medicine of the Universidad de Chile offers limited places for international students wanting short-term programs or clinical practice in the last two years of their study. For more information, please contact:

DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED

a) Recent photograph (passport type)

b) Photocopy of identification page of passport or national identification document

c) Official transcripts in Spanish or English

d) Two Letters of recommendation, in Spanish or English, from an instructor

e) Copy of your approved program of study from your university while you are at the Faculty of Medicine.

f) B2 Spanish proficiency certificate

g) Hepatitis B vaccine certificate

Once the placement is offered and the admission’s letter is sent, the following will be requested:

a) Certification of your health insurance for the duration of your staying

b) Medical insurance for students of general medicine, nursing, and obstetrics and midwifery covering accidents by sharp objects

c) Influenza vaccine certificate (seasonal)
